Get to Know Natalie

Hey,

My name is Natalie, I am the founder and the artistic hand behind Creative Banter. Creative Banter is a female and black-owned business that creates personalised artwork that has meaning.

I don't believe precious things such as gifts and wedding stationery should be generic, and they definitely should not be disposable! Here to create personalised artwork that is sentimental and will be treasured for years to come. We create sustainable wedding stationery using recycled silk and creating multipurpose wedding signs. Why waste money on gifts that will be thrown away in a matter of days, when you can create a bespoke gift that can put a smile on your loved ones face daily!

We also love to create bespoke packages, so if you want a specific item creating, or want a wedding package consisting of specific items, we will happily create that for you!

My Creative Journey

Early Beginnings in Illustration

Ever since I could hold a pencil, I’ve been drawn to the beauty of storytelling through art. Growing up, I spent countless hours writing and illustrating my own storybooks, sketching Bible stories and doodling on my school planner and workbooks.

Education in Illustration

I studied BTech Art and Design at Runshaw College in Leyland, completing my two years with a triple distinction star (DDD*) is the highest grade a student can achieve in a BTEC Extended Diploma. I specialised in photography and digital art and this is where my love for digital illustration started. I still loved to sketch, but I found my art style in college.

I then proceeded to study Animation at the University of Central Lancashire, carrying my digital art style into 2D animation. I finished my 3 years at university with a First Class Honours Degree.
